Why Acting? Acting helps us understand others in a very intimate way. Acting leads to self-discovery. Acting is one of the most personal forms of storytelling, and good storytellers are very influential. Strengthening acting abilities boosts self-esteem and confidence. Acting is therapy. It is truly medicine for the heart, mind, body, and soul. For actors, understanding the Actor’s Process, or the process actors use to awaken instincts and imagination in order to bring characters and their stories to life, is the first step. But it’s more than that…These classes are designed to promote self-discovery, confidence, and character building for the screen, stage, and LIFE IN GENERAL. We swim shallow and dive deep, covering a vast ocean of actionable (get it?) information specifically focusing on acting for film and television. Taught by working film and television actors with over 50 years of collective film and television experience, you will learn from some of the best - with special guests as well. You will laugh with us and at us as we show you the tools, exercises, and discipline needed to set and accomplish goals and confidently pursue your craft. This is a safe and engaging learning environment that is custom made to facilitate imaginative exploration and awaken the senses of young actors. Our goal is that everyone who takes the course is nurtured into finding exactly what they are looking for as actors and storytellers. Regardless of what your goals may be, we know that anyone who joins us will have fun experiencing tremendous personal growth, and come away feeling completely and truly ALIVE. *Important Note: Payment must accompany registration or class will be dropped. Encore offers multiple student / multiple class discounts. There are no refunds on tuition once the classes have started. Payment plans are available. Call 435-414-0049 for more information. In order to run the class five children will need to be registered.
