This is a beginner to intermediate boy's dance class. Our "boys classes" are specifically geared toward creating an environment where boys feel comfortable and excited to experience the fun of dance! It will contain tap, jazz, and contemporary movement. Geared towards a boy's active and physical nature, the purpose of this class is to introduce young male dancers to different styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity through jumps and turns as well as strength and flexibility.
*Important Note: Payment must accompany registration or class will be dropped. Encore offers multiple student / multiple class discounts. There are no refunds on tuition once the classes have started. Payment plans are available. Call 435-414-0049 for more information. In order to run the class five children will need to be registered. Scholarships are available. Please contact us for a scholarship form.
Tim Merkley has multiple degrees in the performing arts, including a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Dance. He first began dancing as training for his theatre career, and is thrilled to be able to help other young hopefuls with similar goals. He has taught classes at BYU, as well as St George Dance Company. He and his wife Tamera co-directed Disney's Descendants at Encore!, and Tim has been seen on-stage in dozens of productions around Southern Utah.
