Rehearsals have started for A Christmas Carol, and we could not be happier with this cast.
We are especially glad to welcome back Corbin Allred as Ebenezer Scrooge, and Adam Cheney returning as Jacob Marley and the Ghost of Christmas Present. Having both of them in the room again sets a tone the whole company feels.

It is a real privilege to spend this season with these Young Artists, this cast, and this team. We have a great story to tell and our own music to tell it with, and that combination gives everyone something solid to lean on as the show comes together.
We take time at every rehearsal to sit with the characters and the story, and to talk through the deeper meaning underneath this tale. Right now that means table reads, scripts and score in hand, working through what each scene is actually about before anyone puts it on its feet.

The best part is listening. The thoughts and feedback our Young Artists offer in those conversations are consistently thoughtful, and watching Corbin and Adam and our team mentor them, and bring new insight to a story we have lived with for years, is the reason we do this work.
If you want a sense of how this part of the process goes, we wrote about opening the story at the table last season as well.
A Christmas Carol: A New Musical runs November 30 through December 18 at the Historic Electric Theater. Tickets are on sale now.
