A Magical Week: Our Frozen Junior Musical Theatre Camp

Tonight we closed the curtain on our Frozen Junior Musical Theatre Camp, and what a week it was.

In just one week, a group of young artists came together, learned the music, found their characters, and brought a whole world to life on the Electric Theater stage. Watching them grow from the first day of auditions to tonight’s performance reminded us exactly why this program matters.

We could not be prouder of this cast. They showed up ready to work, supported one another, and gave everything they had. We were especially glad to welcome several new young artists into the Encore family this week, and to see how quickly they found their place among us.

Behind every great camp is a great team. This year we were thrilled to introduce new members to our youth leadership group — the teen directors, choreographers, music directors, and stage managers who guide our young artists through the week. Watching these budding leaders step up, problem-solve, and pour into the next generation is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

We are also excited to welcome Jacob Merrill, who joins us as director of the Youth Leadership Program. We are grateful to have him and look forward to all he will bring to this program.

This is what Encore is all about. Our camps are more than a week of songs and choreography. They are a place where young artists discover what they are capable of, where new friendships begin, and where the leaders of tomorrow get their first real chance to lead.

To our cast, our team, and our families — thank you for an unforgettable week. We cannot wait to see where these young artists and leaders go next.
