New Friends, Big Dreams

Young Artists learning choreography in the rehearsal room on day one of camp

Yesterday we held auditions for our Little Mermaid Jr. Camp, and today we dove into day one with an awesome cast of over 23 amazing Young Artists. We are off to a great start.

One of our favorite things to watch is a new group of Young Artists coming together. Many of them walked in yesterday not knowing a single person. By the end of day one, new friendships had already been forged. It happens every camp, and it never gets old.

Our youth leaders set the tone from the first minute.

At Encore, we know and believe that we get the most out of our stage performances when our Young Artists genuinely enjoy what they do and are able to work in a safe and fun environment. That is not an afterthought for us. It is the foundation.

In our trainings, and whenever we bring new team members on board, we intentionally overemphasize the importance of safety and fun, because everything else we build stands on those two things.

The week ahead will be full of music, choreography, laughter, and hard work as this cast prepares to bring The Little Mermaid to life on the Electric Theater stage.
