Encore Performing Arts is thrilled to invite young performers ages 7–12 to audition for our hilarious, heart-filled production of Shrek KIDS!
Get ready to journey to Shrek’s swamp, where fairy tales get flipped upside down and heroes come in all shapes and sizes. From loud, proud ogres and royal misfits to fairy-tale creatures who finally find their voices, this musical is all about celebrating what makes you unique and having a blast while you do it.
Get out of your comfort zone and into the swamp!
Whether you love to sing, dance, act, or just be silly on stage, there’s a role for you in this fun-filled adventure.

What to prepare?
For auditions, please come prepared with a 30–60 second cut of any Disney song that shows your personality and voice.
Also, please make sure to bring the following:
A printed headshot and resume,
Comfortable clothes and shoes for a short dance call
Please also be ready to share all conflicts between January 6 and January 31 so we can plan our rehearsal schedule.

Meet your Director
Bridget Cunningham is a teacher and facilitator for Encore Performing Arts, specializing in guiding young performers on their theatrical journey. She leads classes designed for children — offering a welcoming, playful, and supportive space where they can explore creative movement, acting, and ensemble work.
Her approach emphasizes embodied performance, collaboration, and expressive storytelling, rather than just scripted acting — helping young students connect physically, emotionally, and socially through theater.
