  • The Set Builder is responsible for constructing the physical scenery for the production, bringing the set designer and director’s vision to life in a safe and functional way.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build and assemble set pieces according to provided designs and plans

    • Ensure all structures are sturdy, safe, and performance-ready.

    • Collaborate with the Set Designer and Director to accurately execute the vision

    • Assist with load-in (installation of set) and strike/load-out (removal of set)

    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

    Ideal Qualities:

    • Basic carpentry or construction skills

    • Ability to follow plans and take direction

    • Strong attention to safety

    • Team player with a positive attitude

    • Ability to lift and move heavy materials

  • The Scenic Artist/Styler enhances the visual storytelling of the production by painting and finishing all scenic elements to create a cohesive and believable world on stage.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Paint backdrops and set pieces according to design specifications

    • Create textures and faux finishes (e.g., wood grain, marble, aging effects)

    • Distress and age props and scenery for authenticity

    • Collaborate with the Set Designer to ensure visual consistency

    • Maintain cleanliness and care of materials and workspaces

    Ideal Qualities:

    • Artistic ability and attention to detail.

    • Experience with painting techniques and textures

    • Creativity and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to take direction and meet deadlines.

  • Load-In and Strike Assistants provide essential hands-on support to safely move, install, and remove set pieces, equipment, and materials.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting set pieces and equipment

    • Help install scenery, props, and technical elements on stage.

    • Support strike by dismantling and clearing all production elements

    • Follow instructions from production leadership during all work calls

    • Maintain safety standards at all times

    Ideal Qualities:

    • Ability to lift and carry heavy items

    • Dependable and punctual

    • Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team

    • Positive, can-do attitude

  • The Set Designer is the creative lead responsible for designing the physical environment of the production, working closely with the director and Creative Director to bring the story to life visually.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop the overall scenic design concept in collaboration with the Director and Creative Director.

    • Create sketches, renderings, or plans for set construction.

    • Select or guide choices for furniture, props, and scenic elements.

    • Collaborate with Set Builders and Scenic Artists to execute the design.

    • Ensure the design is practical, safe, and appropriate for the performance space.

    Ideal Qualities:

    • Strong creative vision and design skills.

    • Ability to collaborate and communicate ideas clearly.

    • Understanding of space, scale, and staging needs.

    • Problem-solving and adaptability

  • The Production Coordinator supports the Production Manager in keeping the production organized, on schedule, and running smoothly from start to finish.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with day-to-day production tasks and logistics

    • Help coordinate schedules, communication, and materials

    • Serve as a point of contact between production teams and families (if applicable)

    • Track tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups

    • Support rehearsals, performances, and production needs as assigned

    Ideal Qualities:

    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.
