Encore/Aspire’s Fun in the Sun – Aspire Camp 2025 Recap

Last week, over 30 incredible young performers brought the stage to life during our Fun in the Sun – Aspire Camp, a high-energy, joy-filled experience led by the phenomenal Kelby Tyrrell and Leslie Scott. Hosted at the Electric Theater with a culminating performance at Utah Arts Academy, this camp was more than just a chance to perform—it was a week of connection, confidence-building, and creative growth.

From day one, these young artists dove headfirst into rehearsals, learning vocals, choreography, and stage presence—all while having a blast. Whether they were seasoned performers or brand new to Encore and Aspire, each student walked away with new skills, new friends, and a sense of pride in what they accomplished.

We’re especially grateful to Shannon, our stage manager extraordinaire, who kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Her dedication and organization were vital to making this week the success it was.

The show’s lineup featured sunny, feel-good hits and powerful ballads, with dozens of soloists stepping into the spotlight:

Set List Highlights:

  • Another Day of Sun

Soloists: Ashlyn Holt, Emma Leonard, Davin Smith, Aubree Otteson, Noah Sorensen, Norah Hafen

  • On My Way

  • Nothing Stops Another Day

Each number gave these kids a chance to shine in their own way—and shine they did.

At Encore and Aspire, we hold camps like this to give young artists a place to explore their talents, build confidence, and discover the joy of performance in a supportive and positive environment. For many, it’s their first step into our performing arts family. For others, it’s a chance to grow, connect, and lead.

Thank you to all the families who joined us, to our teaching team who mentored with heart, and most of all—to our amazing campers. The sun may have set on this year’s camp, but the memories and momentum will carry on.

We can’t wait to see you on stage again soon!
