Encore’s Moana Jr Sensory-Friendly Performance Welcomes Record Audience
Encore Performing Arts was proud to host our largest sensory-friendly audience yet for the July 22 performance of Disney’s Moana Jr. at the Electric Theater. It was a joyful afternoon filled with music, laughter, and the magic of live theatre—adapted to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for all audience members.
Our sensory-friendly performances are designed to make theatre accessible for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism, or other needs that make a traditional theatre setting challenging. Adjusted lighting and sound levels, a relaxed environment, and trained volunteers help ensure everyone can enjoy the show at their own pace.
Seeing our largest crowd yet was inspiring, and we hope this tradition continues to grow. We believe theatre should be available and accessible to everyone—on every level.
Thank you to our cast, crew, volunteers, and audience for making this event a highlight of our Moana Jr run. We can’t wait to welcome even more families to future sensory-friendly performances at Encore!
