Page to Stage: Noises Off at Pioneer Theatre Company

Encore recently traveled to Salt Lake City with a group of young artists for another unforgettable Page to Stage experience—this time to see Pioneer Theatre Company’s production of Noises Off, featuring our very own Artistic Director, Rhett Guter.

The production was outstanding. Often hailed as one of the greatest farces ever written, Noises Off is a masterclass in timing, physical comedy, and technical precision. Our young artists were completely engaged and had an absolute blast watching this fast-paced and hilarious show unfold.

Following the performance, we were able to participate in a post-show talkback with the entire cast. The Q&A gave our students a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, the challenges of farce, and the motivation and teamwork required to bring such a demanding production to life.

Afterward, the group headed to the iconic Pie Pizzeria, where we had the opportunity to spend time one-on-one with Rhett. He shared personal insights about his experience in the role, discussed the art of comedic acting, and answered thoughtful questions from our young artists.

This Page to Stage experience was both educational and inspiring, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. Opportunities like this deepen our students’ understanding of theatre and strengthen their connection to the art form in meaningful ways.
