Page to Stage: The Lion King at The Smith Center
Encore’s Page to Stage program had an unforgettable experience this week as our students traveled to Las Vegas to see The Lion King at The Smith Center. From the moment the sun rose over the savanna in the opening number, our young artists were captivated by the music, movement, and storytelling of this iconic production.
Page to Stage is designed to give students an opportunity to study professional theatre up close, and The Lion King offered so much to learn and be inspired by—breathtaking design, world-class performers, and a masterclass in how movement and music work together to tell a powerful story.
It was a joy to share this experience with our students and watch their excitement, curiosity, and appreciation grow throughout the day. Experiences like this help broaden their artistic perspective and fuel the creativity they bring back to Encore.
