"Ensemble Acting & Movement with Bridget Cunningham" Emerging Artist Series

Step out of your head and into your body! Join Bridget Cunningham for a fun and dynamic acting class where young performers explore the basics of storytelling, teamwork, and movement through exciting games and activities.

Students learn the fundamentals of theatrical collaboration through ensemble-based activities that highlight the importance of teamwork, active listening, and group creativity. This class introduces children to the principles of Laban and Viewpoints—two foundational techniques that encourage movement exploration, spatial awareness, and emotional expression.

Through improvisational exercises, students will connect with their bodies, collaborate through play, and bring stories to life. Children will discover how to use movement and physicality to communicate emotions, ideas, and character while working together as a team to create engaging stories and build confidence.

Whether learning to move with purpose, reacting to fellow performers, or working through an improvised scene, children will grow as both actors and individuals. Expect laughter, creativity, and lots of teamwork as each child takes the stage in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Skills: Storytelling & Improvisation • Collaboration & Teamwork • Laban Movement & Viewpoints Techniques • Spatial Awareness & Emotional Expression • Physicality in Performance

Perfect for beginners and young actors looking to build their skills in a fun and imaginative way!

Ages 6-12 | All levels welcome

While we list suggested ages, placement is based on your child's readiness and individual development rather than age.

For questions about the class, requirements, or anything else, feel free to reach out to our Director of Education, Randy Sly, at randy@encorepa.org
