“From Screen to Stage: Adaptation Theory and the Integration of Digital Media and Live Performance”
Join us for a trip back in time that will feel like a performance straight from the
future with state of the art effects. Back to the Future aims to take the nostalgia of
the 80s, 50s, and beyond and bring a cinematic experience to the stage. In our
workshop students will learn about the process of taking a source material and
creating a fresh adaptation in a different medium. Through this lens we will learn
how story devices lend themselves to the different art forms and how we can use
these techniques in our own artistry.
