Who It’s For

Built for our whole community

Schools and teachers, homeschool groups, families, students, and community members. All ages are welcome. Admission is free for everyone, we just ask that you register so we know how many seats to hold.

1

Why Pro Shot Edition

St. George is a long drive from major theaters in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, so many families can’t make the trip to a live production. Pro Shot Edition brings Broadway-level storytelling to our own stage, along with the workshop learning Page to Stage is known for.

2

What’s included

The Hadestown pro shot screening, and a 30 minute Page to Stage workshop on the story, characters, music, and myth behind the show. The film runs about 2 hours 20 minutes, so plan on roughly 2 hours 50 minutes from start to finish.

Questions

Pro Shot questions

What is a pro shot?
A professionally filmed, licensed recording of a live stage production.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. This event is free to the public. Seating at the Electric Theater is limited, so we do ask everyone to register ahead of time using the form below.
Do I still need to register if it is free?
Yes, please. Registration is how we know how many seats to hold and how we reach you if anything about the evening changes.
What ages is it for?
All ages are welcome. Hadestown is a retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, so it carries some of the weight that story does, and younger children may need a parent nearby for the darker stretches. Families know their own kids best, and we are glad to have all of them.
How long is the evening?
The film runs about 2 hours 20 minutes and the Page to Stage workshop adds about 30 minutes, so plan on roughly 2 hours 50 minutes from a 7:30 PM start.
When is the workshop?
The workshop runs about 30 minutes alongside the screening. We will confirm the exact timing with everyone who registers.
Can schools or homeschool groups come as a group?
Yes. Email hello@encorepa.org or call (435) 414-0049 and we will reserve seats together for your group.
Where do I park?
Free public parking is available throughout downtown St. George, including street parking on Tabernacle Street and nearby city lots. The new parking garage directly behind the Electric Theater is a great option as well. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early on popular show nights.
