Journey to Oz: A Magical Camp Experience

Our Journey to Oz camp brought the magic of the Emerald City to life with 36 young artists and our incredible Youth Leadership team!
Featuring music inspired by the land of Oz, this week-long adventure was a perfect blend of theater education, creativity, and pure joy. From the yellow brick road to the wonders of the Emerald City, our young artists explored the world of musical theater in a supportive, exciting environment.

We’re especially proud of our Youth Leadership program, which has become a cornerstone of our camp experiences. These musical theater camps provide dual opportunities: our older teenagers with stage experience gain hands-on directing, choreographing, and music directing skills, while our younger artists—many dipping their toes into theater for the first time—discover whether this art form is for them in a low-pressure, welcoming setting.

Watching our teen leaders step into their roles with confidence and care, while simultaneously seeing younger artists light up as they discovered the magic of performance, reminded us why we do this work. Theater isn’t just about the final bow—it’s about the journey, the friendships, the growth, and the discovery that happens along the way.

Everyone had a great time, and we’re already looking forward to our next camp adventure.
