12–14Emerging Artist Shows

Emerging Artists

Bigger roles, deeper training, and full productions. This is the tier where Young Artists ages 12 to 14 step into more of the stage — sharper choreography, richer storytelling, and real responsibility on and off it.

About Emerging Artists

Emerging Artists is where Young Artists ages 12 to 14 grow into real performers. Building on Camps and Junior Shows, this tier casts Young Artists in full licensed productions with bigger roles, sharper choreography, and deeper training — the stretch between a first taste of the stage and our most advanced work. It is the step where technique, stage presence, and responsibility all start to come together.

What Makes Emerging Artists Special

Where Young Artists step up

Real productions, real growth — the tier where ability and confidence take a noticeable leap.

Full licensed productions

Emerging Artists are cast in complete, fully staged musicals — a real rehearsal process and a real run, not a short-form showcase.

Bigger roles, more stage

Young Artists ages 12 to 14 take on featured and lead roles, stepping into more of the storytelling and more time in the spotlight.

Deeper training

Sharper choreography, stronger vocal work, and real acting technique — the skills that carry into our Signature Shows.

Responsibility on and off stage

More is asked and more is given. Emerging Artists learn the discipline, teamwork, and ownership that real productions require.

FAQ

Emerging Artist questions

What families ask about the Emerging Artists tier. Don't see your question? Reach out — we're glad to help.

Who are Emerging Artist Shows for?
This tier is built for Young Artists ages 12 to 14 who are ready to grow — taking on bigger roles, deeper training, and full productions.
How is this different from Junior Shows?
Junior Shows are a Young Artist's first full productions, with the basics taught well. Emerging Artists raises the bar — more demanding material, sharper choreography, featured and lead roles, and more responsibility on and off stage.
Are these full productions?
Yes. Emerging Artists are cast in complete, fully staged licensed musicals with a real rehearsal process and a real run — not a short-form showcase.
Does my Young Artist need experience?
Some stage experience helps, but it isn't required. Many Emerging Artists come up through Camps and Junior Shows; others join here. Reach out and we'll help you find the right starting point.
How do auditions work?
Productions are cast by audition each season. See what's currently open on our auditions page, where dates and how to register are posted for each show.
What comes after Emerging Artists?
The next step is our Signature Shows — Encore's most advanced, artist-driven productions for ages 13 to 18.
